    Event Information

We are bringing a portable planetarium showing a projection of the night sky as visible from the St. Andrews latitudes. The projection shows all the visible stars with the unaided eye, plus the Milky Way, and Solar System objects such as the Moon and the bright planets. The actual position of these objects will depend of the date. The show is open to people of all ages. Our show consists of a description of the night sky from sunset to sunrise, going through the main constellations and visible planets.

About Explorathon ’20

Join us for an online, socially distanced programme of events from 23rd – 29th November 2020 celebrating research from Scotland as part of European Researchers’ Night.

Take part in debates, listen to presentations, try activities at home and much more besides, as we show that research is for all!

This project has received funding from the European Commission’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 955376.
