Information

Now, more than ever before, we need stories. We need stories of courage and compassion, love and loss, triumph and tragedy, hope and resilience.

Over the last few months, Patient Voices have been working with parents of young people with mental illness and researchers who study these conditions, helping them both to transform their experiences into powerful digital stories.

At this event, we will show some of these digital stories, give some space for reflection and response, then open to the floor for questions.

This event is being run by The University of Edinburgh in association with Parenting Mental Health, a charity that works with parents of young people with mental health issues in the UK, USA, Australia, Canada, and New Zealand.

These digital stories are part of a larger project, led by Dr Iona Beange from the Division of Psychiatry at The University of Edinburgh, which aims to give a voice to a range of people affected by and involved with mental illness.
